At the ICT&S Centre for Advanced Studies and Research in Information and Communication Technologies and Society, University of Salzburg The ICT&S Center at the University of Salzburg is expanding into new areas of study and is creating a new cluster of research focused on Innovation in Creative and Cultural Institutions (e.g. industries, organizations, regulations, practices and traditions).
In order to enlarge his team, Prof. Josef Trappel is seeking a new postdoctoral researcher and lecturer that can contribute to this new research area and complement the skills already available in the centre.
**Conditions
The position is open from March the 1st 2012. The contract requires 40 hours of work and 4 student contact hours per week (teaching only). The subject of the courses delivered will be negotiated with the head of cluster. The length of the contract is four years. **Requirements and Desired Skills A university doctoral degree in a relevant field of social science (preferably in communication science) and command of the English language for teaching and research purposes are required. Candidates should also have published papers in international peer-reviewed journals in a relevant area of study. Furthermore, candidates will have experience in drafting research proposals and participating in research projects in one of these areas: innovation in communication and culture and/or innovation in arts and other creative institutions. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of academic literature on innovation, cultural industries, communication systems and new technologies, regulation and media, and experience in leading of national and/or international research projects in the field, experience in the acquisition and management of projects commissioned by national and EU scientific funding institutions.
